Project Overview

Cole Field House has a storied history in athletic and University of Maryland wanted to keep its structure in place while moving forward with a football practice facility. Terrapin Performance Center. To achieve the floor plan that was desired the concrete bowl shape needed to be expanded and new subgrade vertical walls installed.

SITEDRAIN chimney drain C-186 was used to provide drainage behind the vertical walls that were stabilized with soil nails and faced with shotcrete. The SITEDRAIN chimney drain product is specifically suited for shotcrete applications. The thin profile of the SITEDRAIN product means less shotcrete is needed on the adjacent surface to reach a minimum thickness requirement.
